INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF GAMING ADVISORS (IAGA) CONCLUDES
THE 2017 INTERNATIONAL GAMING SUMMIT AND ANNOUNCES 2018 EVENT

Las Vegas, NV — The International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA) recently concluded its 36th annual International Gaming Summit held May 30 – June 1 at the JW Marriott Essex House Hotel in New York City. The three-day event brought together over 250 industry executives from all global gaming sectors, with delegates representing gaming operators, suppliers, attorneys, investors, financial advisors, educators and regulators.

The Summit included a wide range of panels and break-out sessions addressing current issues facing the global gaming industry with lively discussions on a diversity of topics, including responsible gaming best practices, anti-money laundering initiatives, sports betting, e-sports regulation, data privacy issues and more. Featuring keynote speeches from Caesars Acquisition CEO Mitch Garber, New York Times best-selling author Richard Torrenzano and UK Gambling Commission Executive Director Tim Miller, the Summit also included a one-day workshop focused on global responsible gaming issues and a GLI University workshop provided by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI). The combined events were attended by over 250 delegates from 21 countries and 20 U.S. states.

“I am very pleased with this year’s International Gaming Summit” said IAGA President Michael Cohen. “Our compelling program highlighted many internationally relevant gaming issues and was augmented by special programming offered by GLI and the Global Responsible Gaming Forum committee. It featured an impressive list of industry experts and thought leaders, providing our attendees with an unprecedented opportunity to hear from and interact with many individuals responsible for shaping the face of gaming today and in the future. I am confident that our delegates found the Summit to be exceptionally beneficial for their own roles in the gaming industry and enabled them to expand their industry networking reach as well.”

On the heels of its successful 2017 Summit, IAGA also announced that it will hold the 2018 International Gaming Summit May 14 through 16, 2018 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Macao, China. Held in conjunction with the annual Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E Asia) trade show and conference, the 2018 International Gaming Summit will include one-day workshops on responsible gaming, financial crime, as well as a workshop specifically focused on global regulatory issues and initiatives.

IAGA President-Elect Laura McAllister Cox, Vice President of Regulatory Compliance and Legal Counsel for Rush Street Gaming, commented: “Macau, the global gaming industry’s largest land-based market, is a dynamic and constantly-changing gaming destination, and IAGA is looking forward to hosting our annual Summit there in 2018. As this is our Association’s first Summit in Macau, we are confident that our international delegates will appreciate the opportunity to visit this critical jurisdiction and see first-hand how its operators support their clientele. I look forward to joining our 2018 delegates in Macau and participating with them in the thought-provoking discussions for which IAGA’s Summit is so well known.”
