Asia Pac Engagement & Steering Committee
The Asia Pac Engagement and Steering Committee oversees IAGA initiatives throughout the Asia Pacific region, working with the Board and the Executive Committee to further the Association’s purpose of “connecting expert advisors through shared experiences and education to influence the advancement of global gaming.” 

The Committee’s regional duties include:

  • Planning the Association’s participation and support of regional key industry events and conferences including G2E Asia;
  • Determining and helping coordinate Best Practice Webinar topics;
  • Identifying additional opportunities for IAGA to extend its support of its members and the Asia Pac gaming market;
  • Identifying potential new members who will strengthen and diversify IAGA’s industry representation; and
  • Helping identify and solicit new sponsorship targets.


           RUI PINTO PROENCA, Chair, is a partner at MdME, where he heads the firm’s Corporate|Gaming practice. Rui regularly acts for industry investors, casino operators, equipment manufacturers and gaming promoters in key regional projects. He also assists issuers, sponsors and underwriters in relation to listings of Macau gaming interests with overseas capital markets. Rui has been actively assisting sector players and governments in emerging gaming jurisdictions across the Asia-Pacific region. 


         

KELLY GASS, Co-Chair, has over 20 years of professional experience providing financial and business solutions and expertise to companies both domestically and abroad. Having served in numerous interim senior management roles in takeover or troubled asset situations as well as under normal operating conditions, Gass has significant experience liaising with governmental and regulatory authorities in over 35 jurisdictions and is recognized for her extensive expertise in operational, transactional and financial matters.


         

PEDRO CORTES is currently Managing Partner of Lektou, a law firm with offices in Macau, Portugal and China, where he began his career as a lawyer in 2003. He has extensive experience in gaming, corporate and M&A, capital markets, and banking & finance. He is admitted to practice law in Portugal, Macau, Brazil (São Paulo), China (as a cross-border Macau Lawyer) and in East Timor. 


         

JUSTIN KOH is Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. He is a legal and compliance leader with over 20 years’ experience in litigation, regulatory affairs and compliance strategy across integrated resort sectors.
         

DAVID RITTVO is the principal at THA, an advisory firm specializing in integrated resort development, gaming feasibility analysis, and strategic market entry across Asia Pacific and North American markets. He served as Lead Gaming Market Advisor to the New York State Gaming Facility Location Board, an engagement that resulted in all three downstate New York commercial casino licenses: Bally's Bronx, Hard Rock Metropolitan Park, and Resorts World New York City, representing more than $10 billion in combined capital investment. David's development work spans international markets, with a concentration in Asia Pacific across Japan (Mori Building Company), Vietnam (Grand Ho Tram Resort), Australia (Crown Sydney), the Philippines, Laos, Korea, and Macau. He is a recurring moderator and panelist at G2E Asia. At Caesars Entertainment, he served as VP of Development, leading Virginia's competitive market entry. Earlier, as an executive at The Innovation Group, he spent eight years in international business development, working on gaming and integrated resort projects across Asia and beyond.
