International Regulatory Trends & Challenges: Keynote and Roundtable
What are the trends shaping global gaming regulation today and in the future? This session will begin with a 25 minute Keynote Speech by UNLV International Center for Gaming Regulation Executive Director Andre Wilsenach on global regulatory trends and challenges, followed by a roundtable discussion on international, cross-jurisdictional regulatory and enforcement issues. In particular, the panel will take a deep look into sophisticated cheating rings that hit casinos in multiple jurisdictions around the world, evaluating how they are uncovered and what mechanisms are in place to notify jurisdictions who may be potential targets. It will also discuss the tools regulators and casinos can use to keep each other and their global companions informed about cheating and other potential threats.

Regulatory Impacts from Gambling Tax Rates

Often, jurisdictions will looks to gambling as an easy source of revenues. However, a government's decision to set a high tax rate can have implications on the overall product and offerings. This session will take a look at some of the effects that a high taxation rate can have on the gaming industry, particularly in the fields of igaming and sports betting.

Responsible Gaming Casino Entry Levies: A Deeper Analysis
With Japan and other Asian countries evaluating implementing casino entry levies to discourage problem gambling, and established markets like Singapore already assessing them, this session will explore the problem gaming, social and economic impacts of casino entry levies designed to minimize harm on local residents. It will discuss whether they are effective as a deterrent for problem and recreational gamblers as well as evaluate the types of levies implemented around the world.

The Latest Advancements in Combating Financial Crime: Keynote & Roundtable
Regulated jurisdictions must constantly evaluate how to protect the gaming industry from the threats posed by money laundering and other financial crimes and implement best practices designed to limit their exposure and impact. Led by an impressive group of financial crime and risk experts, this roundtable discussion will follow a thought-provoking look into preventative measures currently in use around the world and the challenges faced by individual jurisdictions during implementation of new measures.
