INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF GAMING ADVISORS (IAGA) CONCLUDES 2015 INTERNATIONAL GAMING SUMMIT:
FROM EAST TO WEST, THE CHANGING GLOBAL GAMING LANDSCAPE The International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA) concluded its 34th annual International Gaming Summit held June 2-5, 2015 at the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia. The four-day event brought together over 250 industry executives from all global gaming sectors, with delegates representing gaming operators, suppliers, attorneys, investors, financial advisors, educators and regulators.
The Summit included a wide range of panels and break-out sessions addressing current issues facing the global gaming industry with lively discussions on a diversity of topics, including responsible gaming best practices, anti-money laundering initiatives, sports betting, fantasy sports regulation, the role of technology and convergence and more. It featured keynote speeches from UNLV International Gaming Institute Executive Director Bo Bernhard, Ph.D., Paragon Gaming Chairman Diana Bennett, and Scientific Games CEO and President Gavin Isaacs. The Summit also included one-day workshops provided by the National Center for Responsible Gambling (NCRG) and Gaming Laboratories International (GLI). The combined events were attended by over 250 delegates from 19 countries, four Canadian provinces and 20 U.S. states.
“I am so pleased with this year’s International Gaming Summit” said Katie Lever, IAGA President and Scientific Games Executive Vice President and General Counsel. “Our compelling program highlighted many internationally relevant gaming issues and was augmented by special programming offered by our partners GLI and the NCRG. It featured an impressive list of industry experts and thought leaders, providing our attendees with an unprecedented opportunity to hear from and interact with many individuals responsible for shaping the face of gaming today and in the future. I was also honored to welcome our delegates to my home city of Vancouver and introduce them to several of the city’s most unique venues. I am confident that our delegates found the Summit to be exceptionally beneficial for their own roles in the gaming industry and enabled them to expand their industry networking reach as well.”
